About the Journal
EduHeart Book Publishing is a modest self-publishing firm that began during the pandemic in May 2021 founded by Mr. Jerome N. Chua, Dr. Ethel Reyes-Chua, and Dr. Alfe M. Solina. During that time, Dr. Chua had been seeking for work for several months but had been unsuccessful. Instead, they came up with the term "EduHeart" which means "Education with a Heart” since the co-founder has always been branded by her own students as an educator with a heart. In this way, Dr. Chua has sought ways to live, survive, and thrive amid the pandemic. In addition, the founders realized that they need to cater to the needs or requirements of the academic and industry by writing inspirational materials, textbooks, or workbooks which led to establish its motto: WE REFLECT. WE WRITE. WE TRANSFORM LIVES. EduHeart has published several books (inspirational or instructional) which motivated more authors to continuously reflect and write from the bottom of their heart. In July 2021, the National Book Development Board (NBDB) has acknowledged EduHeart as a publisher, author/editor, subject matter expert, and instructional designer. As part of EduHeart's campaign, it also assists all other individuals in becoming registered with NBDB.
On July 7, 2021, it held its first book launch for the publication of "Being a Reflective Academic Practitioner” with 21 authors. This is the first time a group of authors has come together to share their academic and personal journeys in a way that touches other people’s heart. We printed 1000 copies of this material, and all of them were purchased and given away to different organizations and individuals.
EduHeart currently includes over 150+ authors from a variety of fields ranging from academic to industry. The majority of the authors are Filipinos, with two foreign authors from the United States of America and Vietnam. EduHeart will continue to collaborate with other authors and to spread the good news in the country or abroad.
